The next person who says . . .

Just had to share this.  I thought it was funny. My brother is always telling me how easy of a job that teaching is-that we do play all day and only work 9-3 9 months a year.  (It always makes me mad!) But I know we wouldn't last one hour in any classroom.

Also this made me think of every time we go on a field trip and the chaperones at the end of the day always say how exhausted they are.  Usually these are the parents that appreciate what we do.

Well hope you got a good chuckle out this also.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

OH so true! I always say to these people. . . "You chose your profession, and I chose mine." I take my pay for 180 days and sssppprreeaadd it all out for 365 days... but some people still think I get paid for the summer. . . It's a hard concept for them to understand... I try to ask them to figure how much they make in 180 days and spread it out for the whole year and see how that feels!

Love it!

I love the thing online that mathematically figures out that if teachers got paid just $1.00 an hour per kid to "babysit" at 25 kids x 7 hours per day x $7.00 per kid x 180 days a year... we should make something like $200,000 a year!

Thanks for sharing!

HAHA! That's pretty funny. I would prefer to kick those people in the face, but I guess this is a good substitute for violence.

SO TRUE!!! I have many volunteers who admit to the same truth after they have spent a 1/2 day with us or just helped supervised a school wide afternoon activity! I guess you never know what one experiences until you spend a day (or even an hour) in that person's shoes! Keep Smiling :>) WE HAVE THE BEST PROFESSION IN THE WORLD!!!! (check out my Blog if you have not done so...)
